The Rotary Club of Cambridge was founded in 1922; this comng year we will be celebratiing our Centennial!  Our club, like all Rotary Clubs throughout the world, encourages and fosters the ideal of service above self. Our goal is to build a better world, emphasizing service activities by individuals and groups that enhance the quality of life and human dignity, encouraging high ethical standards and creating peace in the world. A great many local non-profits have benefited from the Cambridge Rotary's contributions over the last 90 years. Here is a sample of the organizations that have received funds recently:

 

Major Beneficiaries

  • Our Place at the Salvation Army - Annual Holiday Party for homeless children, with gifts for all and a visit from Santa Claus
  • National Honor Society at Cambridge Rindge & Latin, Community Charter School of Cambridge and Prospect Hill Academy - $6,000 in scholarships annually at award breakfast for members of the Society
  • Dictionaries presented to all 3rd graders in Cambridge Public Schools
  • Equity and Inclusion book for all elementary school classes in Cambridge Public Schools
  • Sponsorship of 25 girls in rural Bangladesh to attend school through Distressed Children Intl 
  • Rotary Youth Leadership Academy -  leadership training for promising youth
  • Innovators 4 Purpose - curriculum materials for STEM tutoring and I Pads for educational use
  • Furnishing Hope- furniture drive and household donations for families coming out of homelessness
