CAMBRIDGE, MA, May 26, 2011- At this time of year celebrating college graduates seems to be the focus.  But, on June 2, the National Honor Society students of Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (CRLS) will graduate along with their high school peers.  The Rotary Club proudly honored these students at its annual “Leaders Today & Tomorrow” event, held on May 12, at Harvard’s Faculty Club.

The members of the CRLS National Honor Society (NHS) joined Cambridge business leaders, school officials and Rotary members to receive their honors.  Ten outstanding community business and non-profit leaders generously shared their time and experience to honor the students and facilitate a discussion on leadership characteristics.

President of Cambridge Rotary, Alice O. McCarter, states, “The members of Rotary Club of Cambridge salute the outstanding scholarship and citizenship of the CRLS National Honor Society students and offer them our best wishes for continued success.”

Scholarships Awarded

The Cambridge Rotary Club awarded scholarships of $1,000 each to three students.  And, in recognition of the importance Rotary places on service to the community, three matching $500 grants were awarded to a Cambridge non-profit organization selected by each scholarship winner.
